Pricing Guide

How Much Does Scalp Micropigmentation Cost?

SMP isn't one flat price — it's scaled to how much hair loss you're covering and how many sessions that takes. Here's how pricing really works, and how to get an exact number for your scalp.

What actually drives the price

Scalp micropigmentation is priced by the size of the area being treated and the number of sessions needed to build a natural, lasting result. A small receding hairline touch-up and a full Norwood 7 rebuild are very different amounts of work, so they aren't the same price.

Because of that, any studio quoting you a single price sight-unseen is guessing. We give you an exact, all-in quote at your free consultation once we've seen your scalp in person.

  • Degree of hair loss — a full bald crown costs more than a hairline edge-up
  • Number of sessions — most results take 2–4 visits to build density gradually
  • Scar work vs. open scalp — FUT/FUE scar camouflage is priced differently than open balding areas
  • Skin type and how it holds pigment, which can affect session count
  • Whether you're correcting prior SMP that went too dark, blue, or low

Why SMP is quoted in sessions, not a sticker price

Good SMP is built up over a series of sessions spaced a week or two apart. We start lighter and add density each visit, which is what makes the result look like real follicles instead of a flat shadow. Your total reflects that full set of sessions, not a single appointment.

Most people complete their initial result in two to four sessions. After that, the only ongoing cost is an occasional touch-up every few years, which is a fraction of the original investment.

How SMP compares on cost to other hair-loss options

SMP tends to land between medication and surgery: a one-time investment with only light upkeep, and no daily routine to maintain.
