Adaptive Services

I’ve started noticing that I stick longer with apps that seem to “understand” how I use them. Like, I’ll open something just for a quick check, and it already shows me exactly what I’m likely to click on. On the other hand, when everything feels generic, I lose interest pretty fast. I’m not sure if I’ve just gotten used to that level of personalization or if it really makes that big of a difference. How important is it for you that a service adapts to your habits?

For me it’s become a pretty big factor over time. I didn’t care much about it before, but now I notice when an app doesn’t adapt at all — it just feels slower and less intuitive. When a service learns from what I do, even in small ways like remembering preferences or suggesting relevant stuff, it makes everything smoother. I once read this https://www.daylox.com/blog/why-mobile-entertainment-apps-feel-more-personal-than-desktop-platforms/ and it explained why that happens, especially on mobile. Now I kind of expect apps to adjust to me instead of the other way around. It’s not even about extra features, more about how natural the experience feels.
